  • Pottery 'Throwing on the wheel'- 2 hours:
Get messy and creative with our brilliant and highly experienced resident potter David. These workshops are enormously popular and can be arranged to fit in with your holiday plans. We have 3 throwing wheels in our on-site pottery.
  • Silk Painting - 3 hours/full day: Painting on silk is a delicate technique producing colourful results. It is interesting to see how the paint flows; see how to contain it within a 'gupta' outline or create a textured effect by adding salt. Within the first 3 hours there will be an opportunity to experiment with the materials and then select a pre-printed card blank to paint your own silk card. For those who wish to extend their skills, silk scarves can be purchased to paint in the afternoon.
  • Cyanotype workshop - 3 hours: Cyanotype is a curious photographic technique where a light sensitive solution is applied to paper, fabric etc. Once dry, objects such as flowers, foliage or negatives are placed on top - which prevents the light reaching the surface beneath. The prepared surface is then exposed to the sun or other form of ultra-violet light. Once exposed, the print is washed in plain water and the white image is revealed on a blue background. Using a coloured background can give different colours. The workshop will use pre-prepared surfaces and provide an opportunity to create images to make card or bookmarks.
  • Glass Painting workshops: Glass painting is a lovely relaxing craft workshop that anyone can do. Choose from our range of glasses, vases and tumblers and discover your artistic side by painting and decorating your own piece to take home with you.

  • Wellbeing Through Nature Walks
Relax and unwind and get close to nature on one of our guided ‘Wellbeing through Nature’ walks. Deepen your connection with the planet by truly discovering the energies of the natural worlds on either ‘A Country Walk with a difference’, ‘Up with the Sun’, ‘Mellowness of Dusk’ or ‘Discover the different types of healing in the landscapes around us’. £20 per person.
  • King Arthur Grail Trail
The area around Waunifor is steeped in history and mysticism and has many sites connected to the wizard Merlin and the King Arthur legends. "Beautiful cottage, perfect for our family holiday of 6 adults and 4 children. Great facilities for children including a play area and play cabin. The Longhouse is very cosy and the Waunifor complex is peaceful." James Family, The Longhouse
"We came here in 2010 and it is still absolutely lovely. The cottage was perfect for our needs, so peaceful with lovely walks nearby. The community shop at Capel Dewi was handy and also we enjoyed the art exhibition (only during the last week of August) and were overwhelmed with all the creativity.
