The Longhouse is one of our most popular holiday cottages and offers ideal self catering accommodation for a large family or group of friends as it is really spacious and full of character with an enclosed garden. It is a listed building built around 1760 and is of traditional Welsh design with oodles of character and many original features.
The Longhouse sleeps up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms. On the ground floor there are two twin bedrooms, one at each end of the cottage. Upstairs there is a very large bedroom with basin which can be used either as a twin or as a double bedroom, a huge triple bedroom and one single room (this room has a 4ft wide bed). There are two bathrooms, the one upstairs is large with a bath with shower attachment and the one downstairs has a cubicle shower and toilet, and a small kitchen (please note the kitchen is small for the size of the cottage). The kitchen has an electric oven, under-counter fridge, microwave oven and an upright freezer (under the stairs).
The Longhouse has a superb beamed living room with a wood burning stove set in a stunning inglenook fireplace with bread oven and a large wood panelled dining area with cosy armchairs and sofas clustered around the fireplace. There is also a Freeview plasma screen TV and DVD player.
To the front of the cottage there is a delightful garden area with picnic tables and lawns which is fully enclosed and at the back there is a flower filled bank with a small patio and stone steps up to the walled garden wildflower meadow. Barbecues are available to borrow. Parking is available adjacent to the cottage.
